All of my jewelry is made entirely by hand, integrating, found, precious, and vintage materials. The notion of reclaiming an old piece and making it new and fresh is a process I was immediately drawn to. For me, combining the old and the new is stylistically appealing. The juxtaposition not only elicits a kind of nuanced sentimentality, it creates a depth of design that is very engaging. While jewelry is clearly a mechanism of adornment, it represents something much larger and more profound. It crosses all cultures and races. It’s passed down from one generation to the next and carries with it a sense of history, family, and community. It’s an object that embodies meaning beyond its physicality.
